The Jeep Wrangler TPMS wireless receiver is located on the chassis cross member. The receiver gets its information from the dual-axis accelerometer in the wheel sensors. This is used to determine the front and rear position through its signal strength. These are highly sophisticated sensors and should only be replaced by genuine OEM sensors.
1 Answer. SOURCE: my signals and flasher quit working 2002, Jeep. in your vehicles owner manual, look up fuses, and flasher units or flasher relay. Fuses are normally located under the dash, but when both turn signals quit working it is usually the relay. The relay is located under the hood yours owners manual should show you the location.
The "Malfunction Indicator Light" not check engine light is on. I tried to check the codes by doing the on/off key sequence, (Yes I did it 3 times and left the key on the 4th), and nothing came up. No "done" message nothing. The only thing different is that I let the gas go down to 1/4 tank. First time since I bought the Jeep new.
the turn signal not working is a common problem, its the flasher relay and it has a hair line crack that keeps it form working. you can fix it yourself or buy a new one and pop it in, but can only get it form the dealer this is the part http://www.justforjeeps.com/flasher.html
Press and hold the odometer reset button (The central button in the middle of the 4 arrow buttons). Press the start button to Acc only. Release the odometer reset button. I turned the ignition off then started the car as usual and the screen display recovered.
idaholtby. If the dash indicator comes on with the headlamps/markers, then you must have a bad ground on the front right marker light. With a bad ground there, the voltage at front lamp would then find a ground path back through the other filament (for directional flash) and then through your dash turn indicator lamp.
