For copper pinholes, a fix that is permanent, is to depressurize, drain and dry the line. Drill out the hole to about an 1/8" and ensure there is adequate wall thickness for repair. Take a brass screw, I use pan head, but any type will do as long as it is brass. Flux the hole and screw, insert and screw until tight.
Yes, JB Weld can be used to stop a leaking pipe. Itβs a versatile adhesive that provides a strong bond on most materials, including plastic and metal pipes. However, it is not suitable for use on high-pressure pipes as the weld may not hold up against the water pressure. Additionally, make sure you apply the JB Weld in an even layer and let 2. Close the thermostatic valve. 3. Close the lockshield valve. 4. Place buckets underneath the thermostatic and lockshield valves. 5. Using an adjustable wrench or pliers, remove the nut connecting the thermostatic valve to the radiator and allow the water to drain. Repeat on the lockshield valve. Tighten the clamp until contact is made with the wood blocks (or one wood block and pipe), then only about 1/4 or 1/2 turn further. Once the clamp is tightened, the leak should be sealed off. Turn the water on and check for leaks. If the 1/4 or 1/2 turn more doesn't stop the leak, you may need to reposition the patching material and try again. q2SW8At. 307 406 230 114 481 201 52 60 275
